PM Modi Pays Tribute To Freedom Fighters On 82nd Anniversary Of Quit India Movement | ABP News
The Quit India Movement marked its 82nd anniversary recently. On this significant occasion, PM Modi shared a video on social media, paying tribute to the freedom fighters. On the evening of August 7, 1942, a crucial meeting of the Congress Working Committee took place in Bombay. The next day, a large public meeting was held at Gowalia Tank Maidan (now August Kranti Maidan), where Mahatma Gandhi delivered a powerful speech. He famously declared, "Do or die," and urged the British to "Quit India." This rallying cry launched the Quit India Movement, also known as the August Kranti Movement. This historic event remains a pivotal moment in India's struggle for independence.
