Parliament Session 2024: Swearing-In Ceremony Taking Place In New Parliament Building For First Time

Before the first Parliament session of the 18th Lok Sabha, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today is a day of glory. For the first time after independence, the oath ceremony is taking place in the new Parliament. Earlier this process used to happen in the old house. I welcome all the newly elected MPs. The session of Parliament is starting with the goal of developed India till 2047. PM Modi said that we want to take everyone along. Want to take everyone along and follow the limits of the Constitution. This time the number of young MPs is good. Before the start of the Parliament session, Prime Minister Modi said that we will always try to take everyone along, create consensus to serve the country and fulfill the aspirations of the people. PM Modi said that we believe that majority is required to run the government, but consent is very important to run the country. For this reason, our effort will be to seek everyone's consent and take everyone along.
