The reigning Imran Khan-led Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) administration was voted out after losing a no-confidence motion, and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, who is presently the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, is expected to become the new Prime Minister. With 174 votes in favour of the no-confidence resolution, Imran Khan's PTI lost its majority in the House of Commons.
