Operation against Maoists underway in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli

An encounter broke out between Maharashtra police and Maoists near Potegaon in eastern Vidarbha's Gadchiroli district in the wee hours of Friday. During the encounter, eight Maoists were shot dead by the police. The bodies have been recovered along with weapons. As per information, the encounter is still underway.
