Odisha Train Accident: Coromandel Express entered the loop line, and collided with the goods train

According to an initial inquiry into the Indian railway accident that occurred on May 31, at least 261 persons died, the Coromandel Express entered a loop line and collided with a halted freight train rather than the main route. The Coromandel Express was then struck by the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express.
