NITI Aayog Meeting: Mamata Banerjee Walks Out Mid-Session | ABP News
The NITI Aayog meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is currently underway in Delhi. While several BJP-ruled Chief Ministers are present, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended but left the meeting midway. During her departure, she expressed frustration, questioning how the proceedings could continue under such conditions, and claimed they were not given a fair chance to speak.
Most Chief Ministers from the INDIA bloc, including Tamil Nadu's MK Stalin, Himachal Pradesh's Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and Punjab's Bhagwant Mann, have boycotted the meeting. Mamata Banerjee is the only Opposition CM who attended but has demanded the dissolution of NITI Aayog in favour of reinstating the Planning Commission. The stance of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren remains unclear.
