India's Innings
India were off to a sloppy start, as the opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul fell cheaply, and all the onus was now on the out-of-form Virat Kohli to anchor the innings alongside Shubman Gill.
The duo showed immense resilience but on the last ball before lunch, Shubman Gill ended up throwing away his wicket. The build-up work, hence, had to take place all over again in the 2nd session.
Viart Kohli's clumsy innings ended in the very same fashion he's famous for getting out, the same old outside-off delivery.
Rishabh Pant's impressive show of resilience fianlly broke when Pat Cummins brought back Scott Boland into the attack, as the Indian wicket-keeper batsman departed for a gritty 40.
Scott Boland starred for Australia, as India managed merely 185 at the end of their innings.
Jasprit Bumrah Vs Sam Konstas
The biggest moment of the match came two balls before the conclusion of Day 1's play, as Jasprit Bumrah became a hot-head after Usman Khawaja was delaying to take his guard. This sparked a fuming response not just from the Indian pacer, but also Sam Konstas.
In the end, the Indian legend had the last laugh, and had some words to say to the 19-year-old Australian.
