Nirbhaya case: President rejects mercy petition of Pawan Gupta

President Ram Nath Kovind has rejected the mercy petition of Pawan Gupta, a convict in Nirbhaya case. All four convicts now have no other legal option left which means that the path to executing the death sentence for all four is clear now. Earlier, thrice death warrant of the four convicts has been deferred.
