The newly-elected MLAs took oath at a ceremony at the Vidhan Sabha in Dehradun at 11 a.m. on Monday, following the BJP's victory in the recently ended Uttarakhand Assembly election. Bansidhar Bhagat, the pro-tem Speaker of the Uttarakhand Assembly, has confirmed this. The next chief minister of state would be chosen later that evening at the BJP legislative party conference, according to BJP Uttarakhand chief Madan Kaushik.
