Nepal: Two Buses Swept Away In Trishuli River After Landslide On Madan-Ashrit Highway | ABP News
A devastating landslide in central Nepal swept away two buses carrying approximately 63 passengers into the Trishuli River on Friday morning. The disaster occurred on the Narayangadh-Muglin road of the Madan-Ashrit Highway around 3:30 am, triggered by relentless rainfall. Authorities have launched a search operation to locate the missing passengers, but the rescue efforts are being hindered by continuous rainfall in the area. Nepal has been experiencing heavy rainfall since last week, prompting disaster authorities to issue warnings of flash floods in multiple rivers. Reports indicate that several low-lying districts bordering India have been inundated. Just last month, 14 people lost their lives in Nepal due to violent storms that caused landslides, lightning, and flooding.
