NEET Controversy: Paper Leaked 48 Hrs Before Exam | ABP News
Just hours after the Centre entrusted the investigation of alleged irregularities in the NEET (UG) Examination 2024 to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the agency filed an FIR to probe the matter amidst the ongoing controversy.
Officials stated that the CBI registered a fresh case against unidentified individuals under Sections 120B and 420 of the Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint received from the Secretary of the Department of Education, as noted in the CBI's statement.
The complaint alleges that on June 19, 2024, the University Grants Commission (UGC) received inputs from the National Cyber Crime Threat Analysis Unit of the Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre (I4C) under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs. These inputs suggested that the integrity of the UGC NET 2024 Examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 18, 2024, in two shifts across various cities, may have been compromised.
