Need to do away with mercy petition for those guilty under POCSO: President

President Ram Nath Kovind has expressed his opinion on those guilty under POCSO act. He said that such criminals should not get the priviledge of mercy petition.
Earlier, One of the accused in the Nirbhaya case had sent for a mercy petition to the President of India. In this case, Home Ministry has forwarded Nirbhaya's file to President as well seeking the dismissal of accused's mercy petition.
