In the Meenapur police station area of Muzaffarpur, four assailants on motorcycles shot a former village head, along with a father and son, late on Saturday evening. The three victims are currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in the city. The father and son were returning home after closing their shop, accompanied by the former village head, when the assailants, riding on two motorcycles, began firing indiscriminately, severely injuring all three. After carrying out the attack, the assailants fled the scene, continuing to fire as they escaped. Local residents rushed the injured individuals to the hospital, where they are in serious condition. Following the incident, the police arrived at the hospital to conduct inquiries and have begun investigating the case. The attack occurred in the Neyora Bazaar area of Meenapur, where the injured were known to operate a grocery store. The victims have been identified as Nandlal Sah and his son Neeraj, with the third individual being Vijay Prabhakar, a former village head. Both the father and son are involved in the grocery business, and all three are residents of Neyora Bazaar. The incident has created a climate of fear in the area. DSP Asrar Ahmed has stated that a police team has been dispatched to the scene to investigate the matter. The reasons behind the attack are still unclear, and the families of the victims are not in a position to provide details at this time.
