In his radio address on May 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again emphasised the diversity of languages and scripts, giving the example of Kalpana, a native of Uttarakhand, who earned 92 marks in Kannada in the class 10th test in Karnataka. Modi claimed that Kalpana, who had never studied Kannada before, learnt the language in three months and received 92 points.
