Maharashtra Rains: Schools And Colleges Closed In Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, And Other Districts | ABP News
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared a holiday for all schools in Mumbai on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in response to a heavy rain warning issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). This comes as Mumbai on Monday recorded 101.8 mm of rainfall in nine hours. The Thane District Council has similarly declared a holiday for schools on the same date, following the IMD's heavy rain warning.
The Raigad Collector's office has also announced a holiday for all schools and colleges in Raigad district, citing the red alert issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) as a precautionary measure to protect students.
