Pune police visited the residence of trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar, a 2023 batch officer, on Thursday amid a controversy surrounding her transfer to Washim for misusing her power. The police team aimed to question her regarding the incident, which led to a minor altercation between Khedkar's mother and the police. The controversy arose when Khedkar used her private Audi sedan with a red beacon and VIP number plate, violating rules for junior officers. The police sought to inspect the car and take action, but no one opened the gate, hindering their investigation. The probationary officer had also installed a 'Maharashtra government' board on her luxury private car.
