LS Polls 2024: Pankaja Munde hopes to continue the Munde legacy in Beed Lok Sabha constituency
The Beed Lok Sabha constituency of Maharashtra comprises six assembly segments of the district. The seat has been a stronghold of the Munde family, which has held the seat since 2009. Sitting MP, Pritam Munde, won the seat in the 2014 by election after the demise of her father and former union minister, Gopinath Munde. For the upcoming elections, the BJP has replaced Pritam Munde with her sister and former Maharashtra minister Pankaja Munde as the Mahayuti candidate. Bajrang Sonawane of the NCP (Sharad Pawar) is the Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate from the seat. The BJP candidate is banking on the legacy of her late father and the developmental work done in the last ten years. "It has been ten years since Munde Saheb left and in the last ten years, we have done (work) on the vision of Munde Saheb. People have faith in Munde Saheb and this is the issue of this election. Munde Saheb had done the work of trust, but we did a work on both development and faith." says Pankaja Munde
