Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a six-kilometer-long roadshow in Varanasi on Monday evening, ahead of filing nomination papers from this Lok Sabha constituency on Tuesday. Starting from the Malviya Chauraha in the Lanka area, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to educationist and social reformer Madan Mohan Malviya by garlanding his statue before embarking on the roadshow. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accompanied him during the procession.
Seeking a third consecutive term from the seat, Prime Minister Modi's nomination will be crucial for the upcoming polls scheduled for June 1, marking the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha election.
