Kupwara Encounter: One Terrorist Killed, One Soldier Injured | ABP News

An encounter broke out between militants and the Indian Army in the Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday, police said. Army soldiers killed one terrorist, and an army soldier was injured. The operation is currently underway. For the past few weeks, encounters between security forces and terrorists have been occurring almost daily in various districts of Jammu and Kashmir. The army has also foiled several attempts to infiltrate the LoC.

The encounter started on Tuesday (July 23) when security forces were conducting anti-militancy operations in the Lolab area of Kupwara district. They encountered terrorists, leading to the clash. "Security forces received information about the presence of terrorists near Trimukha Top in Lolab, Kupwara, following which the operation was launched," the Kashmir division police said in a post on social media platform X.
