Know why Ahmed Patel was known as Congress party's 'Chanakya'

Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel who succumbed to the lethal coronavirus infection, was hospitalized in Gurugram for the past one month. Patel, who was treasurer of the Congress, was also hailed as the 'Chanakya' of the party.
Ahmed Patel had won the Lok Sabha elections thrice. Apart from this, he served as the Rajya Sabha MPs 5 times. Ahmed Patel became the member of Parliament for the first time in 1977, winning the Lok Sabha elections from Bharuch constituency from Gujarat at the age of 26.
