Karnataka: Govt Halts Private Firm Quota For Kannadigas BJP’s CT Ravi Calls It ‘Drama’ | ABP NEWS
After the Karnataka government halted the draft bill proposing quotas for Kannadigas in the private sector, BJP leader C.T. Ravi criticized the move as theatrical in an interview with ANI. He emphasized that public sentiment in Karnataka is turning against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, asserting, "Currently, there is widespread opposition to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government."
Similarly, BJP leader Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan voiced support for the government's decision not to enforce the reservation bill, aimed at ensuring 70% of non-management and 50% of management-level jobs for Kannadigas. "The government's decision to withdraw the bill concerning Kannadigas' reservation is commendable. Let there be consultations and discussions before proceeding. What were the Labour Minister's vested interests in this? He seems to have ulterior motives and is causing trouble," said CN Ashwath Narayan.
