Jharkhand News: Income Tax Raids House Of CM Hemant Soren's Personal Secretary Ahead Of Polls

The Income Tax Department has conducted raids on several locations linked to Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s personal advisor, Sunil Srivastava, and his associates, targeting suspected tax irregularities. The raids, which involved 16-17 locations, including seven in Ranchi and nine in Jamshedpur, follow an earlier October investigation related to hawala transactions during the election period, where ₹150 crore in unaccounted assets were seized. Additionally, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided Minister Mithilesh Thakur’s properties in October over alleged irregularities in the Jal Jeevan Mission, a move Chief Minister Soren criticized as politically motivated.
