Jamia VC: We will file FIR against police for entering campus without permission
The vice-chancellor of Delhi's Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) University Najma Akhtar in a press conference on Monday said, 'We urged police not to put barricades outside our gate. Cops entered Jamia library without permission and lathi charged students. They vandalized our property'. Akhtar asserted, "We will file FIR on damage of property and police action on students, we want high level inquiry. I will present facts to the HRD Minister". "Don’t fall for rumors, we have the facts. Jamia does not support this,” she added.
