Jahangirpuri News: Advocate writes to CJI; seeks cognizance | ABP News

An advocate has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India seeking cognizance in the Jahangirpuri case. As he has written a letter which is why it depends on CJI whether to hear the matter or not. 

Background

Ruckus was created during the Hanuman Jayanti procession in Jahangirpuri, Delhi on Saturday evening. According to the Police, stone-pelting and sporadic arson were done during the procession. The incident took place near Kushal Cinema at around 5:30 pm. During the incident, many police officials were injured brutally. As per the report, more than ten investigative teams have been constituted to probe the matter. These teams are a part Special Cell and Crime Branch of Delhi Police. On the other hand, security has been beefed up all over the Capital.
