J&K News: Two Soldiers Martyr In Kishtwar Post Encounter, Watch Video | ABP News

In Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, security forces achieved significant success in an ongoing encounter. On Saturday, September 14, 2024, reports emerged that two terrorists were killed in a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army and Jammu & Kashmir forces, while the operation is still active. The action was initiated based on intelligence inputs indicating the presence of terrorists in the area. The operation began late on the night of September 13-14 in the Chak Tapper Kreeri area. The encounter, which started during the night, continued throughout, as officers reported that two to three terrorists were hiding in the area. The forces are still engaged in the operation to neutralize the remaining militants. This success in Baramulla comes after a tragic encounter in Kishtwar on Friday, where two soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), were martyred. In that incident, gunfire erupted between security personnel and terrorists in the upper areas of Pingnal Dugadda forest, located in the Naidgham village under the Chhatroo police station area. Four soldiers were injured, and two—JCO Naib Subedar Vipin Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh—succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
