After the comment of Kamal Nath fumed Bharatiya Janata Party and led to a controversy, Kamal Nath is trying to cover things up. He tweeted that item was not a disrespectful word. He added, "I am item. You are an item. And in this connotation, all are items"

On the other hand, Imarti Devi said that Kamal Nath was from West Bengal and did not know how to respect women.
