Indian Railways Announces Limited 60-Day Window For Advance Ticket Booking: Here's What You Need To Know | Paisa Live

Indian Railways has revised its ticket booking rules. Passengers will now be able to book tickets only 60 days in advance, instead of the earlier 120-day window. According to a recent notification by the Railways, starting from November 1, 2024, the advance reservation period for trains will be reduced from 120 days to 60 days. This change is aimed at streamlining the booking process and improving ticket availability closer to the travel date. The decision affects all trains and classes, including AC and sleeper classes. The move is expected to benefit passengers who plan their trips on shorter notice. However, passengers should take note of this new reservation timeline to avoid missing out on their desired travel dates.
