India Unlikely To Tour Pakistan For 2025 ICC Champions Trophy | ABP News
The Indian cricket team, led by Rohit Sharma, is unlikely to travel to Pakistan for the 2025 Champions Trophy, according to sources. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is pushing for the matches to be relocated to Sri Lanka or Dubai. Several Indian players are also reluctant to visit Pakistan for the tournament, citing security concerns. The Indian government has been hesitant to send its team to Pakistan since 2019 when Pakistan downgraded diplomatic relations with India and expelled the Indian High Commissioner. Furthermore, Pakistan's stance on counterterrorism has created an unfavorable environment for sports engagements, making it highly unlikely for the Indian team to visit Pakistan.
