This time the G7 summit is being organized from 13 to 15 June. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, invited as a special guest in this program, has reached Italy. During the summit, India will focus on issues like Artificial Intelligence, energy, Africa and the Mediterranean region. The issue of the ongoing horrific war in Ukraine and the conflict in Gaza is going to dominate this conference. PM Modi is likely to hold bilateral meetings with several world leaders, including US President Joe Biden and Italy's Georgia Meloni, who will be attending the outreach session of the G7 summit. He can discuss issues like defense and trade with these countries. Before leaving for Italy, PM Modi said that issues important to the Global South will also be discussed in the outreach session. India wants to make itself the voice of the Global South. This is PM Modi's first foreign trip after becoming Prime Minister for the third consecutive time. Along with global issues, bilateral issues will also be given place in the G7 summit to be held in the luxurious resort of Borgo Egnazia in the Apulia region of Italy. G7 includes America, Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Canada and Japan. Italy is currently presiding and hosting the G7 (Group of Seven) summit.
