India bans onion exports as prices skyrocket within a month

Onions are getting dearer day by day. The prices rose within a month and a kilo of onions are now available at Rs 50. Now, the Narendra Modi government has taken vital steps to bring the prices of onions down. This is why the exports have been banned for sometime.

Onions were exported in large quantity during the months of April to June 2020. This is why the prices jumped beyond expectations.
