High Court Demands Action on Delhi Coaching Accident: Orders Police to File Report by Tomorrow, DCP to Appear

UPSC Aspirants Case: Today (Wednesday, July 31), the High Court heard a petition demanding a high-level investigation into the Delhi Old Rajendra Nagar coaching center accident. The Delhi High Court expressed strictness, stating that everyone involved seems to be passing the responsibility around. The court questioned whether the police are investigating the role of MCD officials.

The court, led by Acting Chief Justice Manmohan and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela, ordered that the Delhi Police submit a report on the matter by tomorrow. The MCD Commissioner is also required to be present in person during the hearing. The investigating officer and the DCP must attend the court as well. The court instructed the removal of any encroachments on the drainage system and emphasized that senior MCD officials should visit the field to facilitate necessary changes.
