Heat Wave Sweeps Bihar: Temperatures Soar Past 47 Degrees, Patients Flood Patna Government Hospital | ABP News

In Bihar, the heat has been steadily increasing over the last four days, troubling residents as temperatures break all previous records. On Thursday, temperatures soared above 47 degrees Celsius, prompting severe heat warnings in many districts for Friday. Despite the possibility of light rains, relief from the extreme heat is unlikely. Several individuals, including school students and laborers, have been hospitalised this week after fainting due to the intense heatwave scorching northern India. The ongoing heat has created a critical situation, with authorities on high alert and emergency measures in place to assist those affected.

According to the Meteorological Department, an orange alert has been issued in 11 districts of South Central and Southwest Bihar on Friday in Bhabua-Rohtas, Aurangabad, Buxar, Gaya, Arwal, Bhojpur, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Nalanda and Begusara. Extreme heat wave warnings have been issued in these districts. Also, the temperature in these districts is forecast to be between 43 degrees to 47 degrees.
