Hanuman Chalisa Row: From films to politics; how Navneet Rana become BIG name in Maharashtra
The bail applications of Navneet Rana and her husband Ravi Rana were heard by the Mumbai Session Court on Saturday. The court has set Monday, May 2, 2022 as the date for its ruling. The Mumbai Police arrested them on Saturday after they sought a recital of the Hanuman Chalisa outside Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray's private residence, 'Matoshree.' Navneet and her husband are charged with sedition and "inciting racial animosity." They were first charged with "promoting hatred," but police later added "sedition" to their allegations.
