Haldwani News: Two cars get washed away in Devkhadi drain, car occupants narrowly escape

According to ABP News, heavy rainfall continues to cause havoc in Haldwani. The Devkhadi drain in the Kathgodam area has overflowed once again due to relentless rain. This overflow resulted in two cars being flooded and swept away in the strong current. Fortunately, one car got stuck against a recently installed railing by the administration near the drain. The driver quickly exited and saved their life. Meanwhile, the passenger in the other car also managed to safely exit. The presence of the railing prevented both cars from being swept away entirely by the drain's current, potentially averting a more serious disaster.
