Gyanvapi Masjid Row: Security beefs up ahead of survey as huge crowd gathered | LIVE from Varanasi

On Monday, a court-ordered videography assessment of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in Varanasi will resume for the third day. Officials said the majority of the survey was completed on the second day, despite the mosque management committee's concerns. The committee contended that the court-appointed surveyor did not have the authority to film inside the premises. The mosque is next to the famous Kashi Vishwanath temple, and a group of women has petitioned the local court for permission to worship daily before the idols on its exterior walls.
