On Tuesday, farmers from Punjab encountered tear gas and drone-dropped shells as clashes unfolded at two border points, where protesters attempted to breach barricades set up by Haryana Police to prevent them from advancing towards the national capital.

Police deployed tear gas, and met with protesters hurling stones, at the Shambhu border near Ambala in Haryana. Similar confrontations occurred at the border between Haryana and Punjab in Jind district. The stand-off at Shambhu persisted for hours, with some protesters reportedly detained by the Haryana Police.
