Fadnavis, BJP MLAs had sensed the result ahead of floor test, so walked out: RJD's Manoj Jha
A day after Devendra Fadnavis and other BJP MLAs staged a walkout of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Saturday ahead of the floor test for the Uddhav Thackeray-led government, spokesperson of RJD Manoj Jha said the Opposition might have already sensed the result by judging the temperament of the floor and possibly knew that the three-party alliance could easily form the government in the state, so they walked out. Jha also appreciated Uddhav Thackeray and other parties of the alliance for overcoming the ideological differences.
A month-long drama surrounding Maharashtra politics came to an end yesterday as Uddhav Thackeray won the floor test and proved his majority in the house with the support of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress party. This, however, did not happen before a tough stand by the BJP. Devendra Fadnavis and his MLAs walked out of the assembly in dramatic fashion before the floor test. This walkout was staged over alleged violation of established norms by the new government.
