Election For Lok Sabha Speaker To Take Place Tomorrow | ABP News

The election for the Lok Sabha Speaker is set to take place on Wednesday. It will be for the first time that an election will be held for the post of speaker in the Lower House. NDA nominated Om Birla and the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc has nominated K Suresh for the post.  After the ruling NDA bloc announced Om Birla as its candidate for the post of speaker in the Lok Sabha, the Opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc on Tuesday nominated K Suresh for the post. This comes after the NDA and I.N.D.I.A bloc failed to reach a consensus on Speaker and Deputy Speaker posts. Suresh has filed his nomination.
