The mortal remains of two soldiers from Rajasthan, who lost their lives in the Doda encounter, were brought to Jaipur on July 17. The Indian Army expressed condolences on July 16 to the families of Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra, and Sepoy Ajay, reaffirming its steadfast support during this difficult time.

The Udhampur-based Northern Command reiterated its commitment to rooting out terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, following a fatal encounter in Doda district. Highlighting ongoing joint operations with Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army emphasized efforts to eliminate foreign terrorists infiltrating from across the border. Operations have focused on Udhampur, Doda, and Kishtwar districts in the Jammu region and subsequently in the Kashmir Valley, aiming to ensure peace and security.
