DM assures action against Sarfaraz Alam for brandishing party symbol at polling booth

Araria's Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate Sarfaraz Alam reached the polling booth while wearing the badge of his party symbol 'lamp' on his shirt. As per norms, the act is not allowed and hence the District Magistrate (DM) has assured action against him.

As many as 2.34 crore voters, spread across 78 assembly segments of the 243-strong Assembly, will decide the fates of 1,204 candidates, including the Speaker and 12 members of the state cabinet.
