People across the country are currently facing severe heatwaves. The sun is blazing, causing many people to suffer and some to lose their lives. The heatwave has hit the northern states the hardest, with temperatures exceeding 45 degrees Celsius during the day. According to a Reuters report, more than 40,000 cases of heatstroke have been reported across the country this summer. So far, over 100 people have died due to the heatwave.
In North India, the ongoing heatwave has led to an increase in deaths. Severe heat has claimed lives in states like Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana. The situation has become so dire that birds are falling from trees due to the extreme heat. Both day and night temperatures in the northwest states have been several degrees above normal, resulting in a rise in heat-related hospital cases.
