Covid-19: Health ministry says 1 person can infect 406

During his daily briefing on Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Joint Health Secretary Luv Aggarwal said that without a lockdown, one person can infect as many as 406 people directly over a duration of 30 days. He added that social distancing can decrease the speed of spread and it can be brought down to 2.5 people rather than 406.

Aggarwal said that over one lakh tests have been conducted in the country in 136 government labs and 59 private labs.
