Congress Demands PM Modi’s Response In The House Over Anurag Thakur’s Caste Remark | ABP News
Politics has heated up over the "halwa ceremony" in Parliament, sparking a ruckus in the Lok Sabha. The controversy began on Monday (July 29) when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi displayed a poster criticizing the ceremony. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla did not permit Gandhi to show the poster, which highlighted the absence of tribal, OBC, and Dalit officers during the event.
On Tuesday (July 30), BJP leader Anurag Thakur countered Gandhi's criticism by questioning, "Who received the halwa?" He also accused Gandhi of indulging in various scams, including the Jeep scam, Bofors scam, Dewas-Antrix scam, and several others. Thakur's remarks intensified the political debate surrounding the ceremony.
