Chhattisgarh CM launches 'Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana'
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel launched 'Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana' through a video conference on Thursday that is on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. As per the scheme, direct money will be transferred to the farmers' bank account.
Under the scheme, Rs 5,700 crore will be transferred directly to bank accounts of 19 lakh state farmers in four installments. The scheme was conceived during the 2019 Lok Sabha elections to guarantee a minimum income to farmers.
