Like before, Yogi Adityanath will have two deputies. Keshav Maurya, who lost the election, has been retained, but Brajesh Pathak has been appointed to replace Dinesh Sharma, who did not run in the election. In Yogi Adityanath's first ministry, Pathak, a major Brahmin leader, served as Law Minister. He was a former Lok Sabha MP who converted to the BJP in 2017 from Mayawati's BSP.
