'Can Topple The Government Whenever We Want,' Claims Congress According to Sources | ABP News

According to reports, top Congress sources claim that the party can topple the government whenever they want. As no single party secured a majority in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, questions have been raised about the BJP's "400 paar" slogan. In a surprising outcome, the BJP won 240 seats, falling short of the 272 majority mark and needing allies in the NDA for government formation. This is a significant drop from the 303 seats in 2019 and 282 in 2014. With support from key allies like N. Chandrababu Naidu's TDP (16 seats) and Nitish Kumar's JD(U) (12 seats), the NDA secured around 290 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha.

The elections also marked a revival for the Congress under Rahul Gandhi and highlighted the unexpected role of the Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, led by Akhilesh Yadav, as a formidable opponent.
