Breaking News: Train Derailment Plot Foiled in Kanpur, LPG Cylinder Found on Track | ABP News

A major disaster was averted in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, when an attempt to derail the Kalindi Express was foiled. The train collided with an LPG gas cylinder that had been placed on the railway track near Shivrajpur. Fortunately, the impact caused the gas cylinder to be thrown off the track, preventing a potential explosion. Railway Police and the GRP (Government Railway Police) arrived at the scene and discovered a filled LPG cylinder along with a bottle containing chemicals and a white powder. These items have been sent for forensic analysis to determine their nature. This incident marks the third attempt to derail a train in Kanpur, raising concerns about safety on the railway tracks. After the train hit the gas cylinder, the alert locomotive pilot immediately applied the emergency brakes, which prevented any major mishap. The authorities are now investigating the situation, and security measures have been heightened. The incident underscores the ongoing threats to train safety in the region and the need for vigilant monitoring to prevent such attacks.
