Breaking News: Supreme Court To Hear Arvind Kejriwal's Plea Against HC Decision Today | ABP News

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal did not get relief from the High Court on Tuesday (June 25). Delhi High Court said that there is a need for a detailed hearing of the case, hence the stay on the decision of the lower court will remain intact. Delhi High Court gave its verdict on Tuesday (25 June). The court had reserved its decision. CM Kejriwal defended the bail order in his written argument filed on Monday. He said that if he is released at this time, there will be no adverse impact on the ED, because if the High Court later decides to cancel the order, he can be sent back to custody. CM Kejriwal argued that stopping the implementation of the 'well-considered bail order' would be tantamount to accepting the petition for cancellation of bail. The vacation bench of Justice Sudhir Kumar Jain had reserved the order on June 21 after the lower court's decision was challenged by the ED. The High Court had stayed the implementation of the lower court's decision until the verdict was pronounced. AAP's national convenor Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21. He could have come out of Tihar Jail, if the High Court had not given interim relief to the ED. On June 20, the lower court had granted bail to Kejriwal and ordered his release on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. The lower court had also imposed some conditions, which included that he would not try to obstruct the investigation or influence the witnesses. The ED has argued that the trial court's order was 'perverse', 'one-sided' and 'wrong' and the findings were based on irrelevant facts. In a note filed on Monday in connection with the plea seeking stay on the bail order, the ED said the decision did not take into account the material showing the AAP leader's 'deep involvement' in the crime of money laundering related to the alleged excise scam.
