Breaking News: SC Grants Bail To CM Arvind Kejriwal In Excise Policy Case | ABP News

On September 13, 2024, Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal experienced a pivotal day in the ongoing Delhi excise policy case. While the Supreme Court rejected the CBI's challenge against his arrest in the corruption case, it granted him bail. On September 5, 2024, a lengthy debate took place between the CBI's and Kejriwal's legal teams before Justices Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuiyan. After deliberations, the court reserved its decision and announced that the verdict would be delivered on September 13. It’s noteworthy that Arvind Kejriwal had previously been granted bail in a separate Enforcement Directorate (ED) money laundering case. Despite this, his detention persisted due to the CBI’s arrest. With the recent Supreme Court decision, Kejriwal is now eligible for release if granted bail in the CBI case as well. The Supreme Court had earlier granted bail to other key figures in the case, including Manish Sisodia and K. Kavita.
