Breaking News: Political Uproar Intensifies Over Delhi Water Crisis, Atishi To Meet LG Vinay Saxena
Due to the scorching heat that has been going on in Delhi for the last few days, people are facing water crisis in many areas of the national capital. Allegations and counter-allegations are also going on between Aam Aamdi Party and BJP regarding this issue. At present, this matter is pending in the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Water Minister Atishi had written a letter asking for an appointment with LG Vinay Saxena to discuss this issue. After receiving the letter from Atishi, LG Vinay Kumar Saxena will meet Water Minister Atishi on Monday. During the meeting, the issue of release of 'insufficient' water from Munak Canal by Haryana will be discussed. After this stance of LG, there is discussion whether the meeting between the two will solve the water crisis. Haryana will agree to release excess water. Actually, Atishi had sought time from Saxena for an emergency meeting on this issue. Earlier in a post on 'X', the minister had said that Delhi should get 1,050 cusecs of water from the canal, but it has come down to only 840 cusecs. He said, “Time has been sought from the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi for an emergency meeting. So that they can be made aware about the inadequate release of water from Munak Canal by Haryana.”
